No. We can do a single length of molding or a whole building’s worth. However, the cost of the molding knife is the same, regardless of quantity, so the per-foot price for smaller orders will be higher.

We’ll start with a conversation over email, text, or phone. Tell us what you want and how much, and then send us a small sample of the profile so we can have the correct knives made.

We are not equipped (or skilled enough!) to make our own knives. We have a Vermont company that makes the knives for us, out of tempered steel.

While we are mindful of your schedule, it takes time to receive your profile sample and have the knife or knives made. Normally, turnaround time is 2-3 weeks.

At this time, we are mainly working within an hour or so of our Middlebury, Vermont, shop. We are certainly open to shipping, with the understanding that freight charges will apply, and the order turnaround time may be affected.

We do small and large orders for everyone from individual homeowners to general contractors to design/build companies.

We can make just about anything you can provide us a profile for, as well as things like dentil molding and some specialty trim. If you have an unusual item in mind, give us a call and we’ll try to help.
